Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) supports people facing financial hardship with their energy bills. Our trained staff help create a budget, issue vouchers, and set up payment plans. As an Aboriginal organisation, we welcome anyone. Services are free, confidential, and available walk-in, phone or referral.
Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) is an NSW Government initiative for customers with an open account who are experiencing a short-term financial crisis e.g. unexpected medical bills, car repairs or loss of employment.
The process involves a trained community employee creating a budget with you, an issuing of a voucher, and setting you up on payment plan with your provider.

Muru Mittigar Community Finance Hub has been helping community members with NILS and Financial Counselling since 2011. In 2016 we added EAPA (Energy Accounts Payment Assistance) and in 2020, Oz Harvest food assistance to our services. So far, we have helped over 2,500 people and have arranged over $2 million in no interest loans.
