As we step into 2026, Muru Mittigar continues its purpose to preserve, share and celebrate Aboriginal culture while empowering our community through education, health and wellbeing initiatives. This year, we are focusing on two key areas that form the foundation of our programs: education for the next generation and supporting community wellbeing through culture and heritage.

Empowering the Next Generation: Aboriginal Education in 2026

Education is at the heart of cultural preservation. Muru Mittigar’s programs aim to provide young people with hands-on learning experiences, connecting them to Aboriginal history, language and storytelling. In 2026, our focus includes:

• Cultural workshops in schools: From traditional art to bush tucker lessons, we bring Aboriginal culture directly to students, fostering curiosity and respect for First Nations heritage.
