Muru Mittigar’s Group Training Organisation

Muru Mittigar’s Group Training Organisation creates supported employment pathways through apprenticeships and traineeships. As the employer, Muru Mittigar recruits, employs and supports apprentices and trainees, then places them with host employers where they gain practical, on-the-job experience. We work closely with host employers and Registered Training Organisations to coordinate formal training, monitor progress and provide support throughout the training journey. Our role is to walk alongside apprentices and trainees, not just place them in a job. We want them to feel supported, understand what is expected, and have every opportunity to complete their training and build a strong future.

Training Pathways with Muru Mittigar

Through an apprenticeship or traineeship, participants are employed while gaining hands-on experience with a host employer and completing nationally recognised training through a Registered Training Organisation. Muru Mittigar supports each person throughout the journey, helping coordinate the training plan, workplace experience, mentoring and progress checks so participants can build skills, confidence and long-term career opportunities.

Why Is Our GTO So Important?

Our Group Training Organisation plays a critical role in creating real, supported pathways into employment — particularly for young people who may not otherwise have access to meaningful work opportunities. By employing apprentices and trainees and placing them with host employers, we enable individuals to gain hands-on experience while working toward nationally recognised qualifications and credentials that set them up for long-term career success.

At Muru Mittigar, our commitment goes beyond simply placing someone into a role; we walk alongside each apprentice and trainee throughout their journey. Providing ongoing mentorship, structured support and intervention when needed to ensure they succeed is our approach. This reflects a deeper commitment to giving back to community — supporting not just employment outcomes but confidence, capability and future prosperity.
