Growing Connections: Muru Mittigar Native Nursery Online Sales Launching This September

Exciting things are happening at Muru Mittigar, with our Native Nursery preparing to launch online sales through our website later this September.

For many years, our nursery team has been growing and supplying native plants for bush regeneration projects, landscape works, local councils, businesses and community projects across Western Sydney. Soon, we’ll be making it easier than ever for individuals, schools and organisations to access a range of native plants directly through a new online shopping experience.

The nursery plays an important role in Muru Mittigar’s Caring for Country work, providing native plant supply, seed collection services and support for ecological restoration projects across the region. Our team has extensive experience growing native species that contribute to healthier landscapes, stronger biodiversity and more resilient ecosystems.

Making Native Plants More Accessible

The new online sales branch will allow customers to browse and purchase plants from the comfort of their home, making locally grown native species more accessible to the wider community.

Whether you’re looking to create habitat for local wildlife, establish a bush tucker garden, revegetate a property, or simply introduce more native plants into your landscape, our online nursery will provide a convenient way to connect with Country through planting.

Growing Local Species for Local Landscapes

What makes the Muru Mittigar Native Nursery unique is our focus on local provenance and regional species. Our nursery propagates a diverse range of native trees, shrubs, grasses and groundcovers, supporting projects of all sizes across Greater Sydney. We also maintain one of the largest Aboriginal-owned and operated seedbanks in New South Wales, helping preserve and regenerate native plant communities for future generations.

From small residential gardens through to large-scale restoration projects, our nursery has long provided quality plant stock and expert advice to help clients achieve positive environmental outcomes.

Supporting Community Through Every Purchase

Every purchase supports something bigger than plants.

As a Dharug-controlled social enterprise, Muru Mittigar reinvests profits into programs that create employment opportunities, strengthen communities and celebrate Aboriginal culture. By choosing to purchase through our nursery, customers are helping support local jobs, skills development and positive outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities.

Coming Soon

Our team has been working behind the scenes to prepare for the launch, photographing stock, developing the online catalogue and ensuring customers can easily find the right plants for their projects.

We look forward to sharing more details, including the official launch date and available product ranges, in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates. We can’t wait to welcome you to the online home of the Muru Mittigar Native Nursery and help you bring a little more Country into your garden.

The Muru Mittigar Native Nursery online sales platform is expected to launch later this September. Keep an eye out for the official announcement coming soon.
