Cultural Experiences and Tours
Muru Mittigar provides hands-on cultural encounters with experienced and professional Aboriginal Guides. Our group tours are sure to provide you with a full cultural experience. Depending on the tour type you choose (2 hours – 4 1/2 hours), the activities include:
- Bush Tucker Morning Tea. Try our wattle seed pikelets with native jams.
- Guided Tour of our Cultural Centre
- Cultural Talk with beliefs and stories from Aboriginal Australia
- Try your hand at Boomerang throwing
- Didgeridoo presentations
- Join our Yarra Walk and learn about the traditional uses of local native plants
- Aussie BBQ Lunch & Bush Tucker Tasting. The bush tucker taste test is a chance to try some of our native game meat, such as Kangaroo and Emu.
- Koori Art Painting Workshop. Paint a souvenir boomerang.
- We also cater for School Excursions, Disabled Groups and Seniors activities, Children’s Birthdays, as well as school holiday / vacation programs.

Tour Optional Extras – Add to your cultural experience:
Dance performance can be arranged at an added extra cost of $22.00 per adult and children and seniors at $16.00.
The minimum number of no less than 30 people, with 48 hrs advance notice.
Bush Tucker Morning Tea - Damper, Wattle seed Pikelets with assorted native jams
served with tea, coffee and juice, At a cost of $9.00 per person. Advance notice necessary
Muru Mittigar Veranda Café – is open for your group to purchase their own meals and
to purchase authentic arts and crafts created by Aboriginal people living in Sydney. No advance notice necessary
Our Cultural Experiences and Tours are available for individuals, groups, and corporate groups (up to 80 people). Tours start from $34 for Children, Students and Seniors and from $45 for Adults.* Muru Mittigar is F.I.T. ready and commission ready. We have special discounted rates for domestic primary and secondary school groups. |

Means “Pathway to Friends” in Darug language (Traditional
Aboriginal custodians of our area)
is located 1 hour west of Sydney at the foot of the Blue Mountains, half way
between Sydney and Katoomba.
