Cultural Talk & Centre (Time: Approx 30 mins)
Guests in our Cultural Centre learn about tribal areas, diversity in Aboriginal culture, and local Traditional Owners (Darug tribe). They view visiting art exhibitions showcasing the diversity of Aboriginal art and artists locally and across the country. The centre includes a range of traditional artefacts including those used in dance, music, ceremonies, hunting and fishing. An experienced tour guide assists guests through the centre to gain knowledge about artefacts, artwork, tribal areas and stories.
Yarra Walk (Time: Approx 30 mins)
The Yarra walk offers an opportunity to learn about traditional uses of local plants by Aboriginal people including medicinal, bush food or material resources.
Boomerang Throwing (Time: Approx. 30 mins)
Guests enjoy boomerang throwing with experienced staff who offer expert advice. Learn the cultural importance and history of this Australian icon.
Amphitheatre
Muru Mittigar's outdoor amphitheatre provides an exceptional space for up to 200 people. This area is used in training and presentation programs including corroborees and night time dancing.
Muru Tour (Time: Approx 120 mins)
This comprehensive guided tour of Muru Mittigar includes a Cultural Centre tour, Yarra Walk, Didgeridoo and Boomerang Throwing. Our Didgeridoo presentation explains how the instrument is crafted, its origins and its cultural significance.
Dance Performance (Time: Approx 30 mins)
Dancers prepare for each performance with an ochre ceremony to paint appropriate designs on their bodies. Men use white paint and women use yellow. Red ochre is sacred and only used by initiated men.
Bush Tucker Catering
Guests enjoy damper, wattle-seed pikelets with assorted native jams served with tea, coffee and juice. Visitors can enjoy a BBQ lunch served with garden salads and cool refreshing drinks. The bush tucker taste test is a chance to try some native game meat including kangaroo and emu.
Mulga gunji - Art Services
Our woodwork shop creates and demonstates how traditional tools and weapons are crafted, revitalising traditional tool making in NSW, and providing opportunities for visitors to purchase goods made authentically, on site.

Our Didgeridoo workshops explain how the instrument is crafted, its origins and its cultural significance.
Koori Art Workshops
Our Koori Art Workshops educate visitors about different styles of Aboriginal art. Visitors paint a souvenir boomerang to take home and learn about designs and styles in Aboriginal art.
Dreamtime Stories
Our professional Aboriginal storytellers will entertain your group through their telling of Dreamtime stories. Groups listen in awe as our guides descibe the stories of our Aboriginal ancestors.
